According to AL.com, investors paid $3 million cash for 38 acres at 20324 Miflin Road in Foley and plan to build a multifamily development on the site, according to Realtors. Cody Maley of Scout South Properties represented the sellers, and Meredith Harris of Re/Max of Orange Beach represented the buyers. The commercial land has 1.283 front feet on Baldwin County 20 and is located between Highway 59 and Juniper Street. Also in Foley, a 5,200-ft2 Circle K convenience store and gas station will be located at 8951 Highway 59, just south of Baldwin County 12, according to the Foley Planning Commission. In Orange Beach, a 23,000-ft2 Surf Style building will be built at the northwest corner of Perdido Beach Boulevard and Russell Drive, according to city planning. In Gulf Shores, owners of Uptown Plaza paid $300,000 for the adjoining corner land at East 20th Avenue and East 2nd Street, where they plan to develop a 6,000-ft2 commercial building, according to Alla Nikitina of Ryals Realty, who represented the buyers. Joseph Frady of Re/Max Paradise worked for the seller. In Mobile, an investor paid $360,000 for 18 acres on Air Terminal Drive and has tentative plans to develop a residential project, according to Herrington Realty, who represented the seller. Englund Realty worked for the buyer. Also in Mobile, an event center called The Locale is to be built on 15 acres at 2100 North University Boulevard, according to the Mobile Planning Commission. The center will host functions including corporate events, weddings and parties.
