Real Estate Update

According to AL.com, an investment group paid $11.3 million for the Eastern Shore Village Center on 9 acres at the southeast corner of Greeno Road and Fairhope Avenue in Fairhope, according to Herrington Realty, which handled the transaction. In Gulf Shores, local investors led by social media fishing celebrities Mathew Isbell, Brant Peacher and Brad Warren (Bearded Brad) have leased 5,700 ft2 of space at the corner of Highway 59 and West 1st Street and plan to open Beach Bum Outdoors, according to Robert Cook of Vallas Realty, who handled the transaction. Also in Gulf Shores, a 10-unit multifamily development is to be located at 419 East Canal Drive. City planners recommend approval of the project, which would have four buildings: two duplexes and two triplexes. In Daphne, HPJ Properties paid $120,000 for a 1,400-ft2 building at 29159 U.S. 98 adjacent to Market by the Bay. The property will be leased to the new owners of Market by the Bay and used for additional parking, storage and office/retail space, according to Harry Johnson of HPJ Properties.
