BJ’s Wholesale Club Planned For Foley

The Foley Planning Commission voted to recommend approval of a proposal to build a BJ’s Wholesale Club on the South Juniper Street Extension in Foley. Plans call for the building to be located on a 14-acre site approximately one block east of South McKenzie Street. The facility would be the second BJ’s in Alabama and the first wholesale club in South Baldwin County. The first opened in the Huntsville area in late 2023. City officials have been working with developers and BJ’s representatives to bring a wholesale club to Foley. Company representatives said construction is expected to start in September or October. The project is expected to take approximately 1 year to complete. When completed, the building will be 106,370 ft2 in size. The club will also include a fueling station and other facilities. Services provided by BJ’s clubs include groceries, household goods, tires and automotive services and electronics.
