Eastern Shore Centre To See Improvements

SPANISH FORT, Ala. —  The Eastern Shore Centre is getting a fresh coat of paint, and with new tenants moving into the complex, there are now only four empty stores out of 68, NBC15 reports. Allied Development purchased the unkept and bankrupt facility in 2018. "We are not the same Eastern Shore Centre that we were three years ago," said Andrea Walker, who handles its marketing. "We are new owners, new management, new merchants, and the merchants that are here are thriving." Walker says Allied is focusing on what it calls a "lifestyle center" for eating, shopping and playing. It has also been adding events and, coming in June, an indoor virtual reality theme park where visitors can experience roller coaster rides will open. The roads that surround the center are also to be overhauled soon, for which the opening of bidding is imminent. Construction is expected to start the first week of June and likely take eight to nine months.
