Fairhope Wawa Expected To Open April 25

Wawa has announced that its first store in Alabama, at 18968 Greeno Road in Fairhope, will open on April 25 with a grand opening. Doors will open at 8 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. The next local Wawa stores will be at 7095 Cottage Hill Road in Mobile and 21022 Highway 59 in Robertsdale. They are to open sometime this summer. Overall, Wawa plans to open seven to 10 stores in the Baldwin County and Mobile markets over the next three to four years. Once open, each store will employ an average of 35 associates. Wawa expects to create hundreds of long-term new jobs as a result of expansion into Baldwin County and Mobile.
