Jubilee Specialty Woods Opens Location In Summerdale

Jubilee Specialty Woods, a provider of premium domestic, imported and exotic hardwoods for both wholesale and retail customers, recently opened in Summerdale. The business has served individual woodworkers, in addition to wholesale clients, since 2017. It has maintained a large inventory divided into three main categories—domestic hardwoods, imported hardwoods and softwoods. Current offerings include kiln-dried rough-cut boards in multiple thicknesses and widths, and customers are invited to visit the facility to personally select boards or place custom mill orders. “We began as Buchanan Lumber in Mobile, where we were wholesale only. We moved to Baldwin County to be closer to our customers, where we bought this 37-acre piece of property on the Baldwin Beach Express, and we couldn’t be more proud of where we are today,” said Dick Buchanan, owner.
