New Shoe Station Opens In Fairhope

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — A new Shoe Station location opened to the public in Fairhope on March 11, according to AL.com. The new store is at 350 Eastern Shore Shopping Center, off the intersection of Fairhope Avenue and South Greeno Road. Shoe Station was founded in Mobile by Terry Barkin in 1984 and had grown to 21 stores in five states by late 2021, when it was purchased by Indiana-based Shoe Carnival (BBN #71). This will be Shoe Station’s 22nd store. At the time of the deal, Shoe Carnival said it was on a rapid growth track and expected to have more than 400 stores by the end of 2022.
