Two Mobile Businesses Named Alabama Retailers Of The Year

MOBILE, Ala. — Mo’ Bay Beignet Co. and Shoe Station, both of Mobile, have been named Alabama Retailers of the Year by the Alabama Retail Association in their corresponding categories. The association presented the awards to Jaclyn Robinson of Mo’ Bay Beignet and G. Brent Barkin of Shoe Station in their stores this week. Robinson was named “2022 Gee Emerging Retailer of the Year,” while Barkin was recognized as Retailer of the Year in the “Annual Sales More Than $20 Million” category. The two businesses were chosen out of 55 nominees from 42 entries submitted. Both businesses were nominated by Danette Richards, director of small business development for the Mobile Chamber.
