Upcoming Private And Public Events At Original Oyster House Locations

Both locations of the Original Oyster House restaurants will be closed September 8 for the 5th Annual Employee Picnic with a private Family Fun Day at Waterville USA in Gulf Shores. This year’s event includes a catered lunch by Naman’s Catering of Mobile. In addition, the restaurants will honor Mobile and Baldwin County law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics and sheriff’s deputies by offering a free Never Forget Lunch at the Gulf Shores and Mobile Causeway locations on September 11 at 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The 17th Annual Never Forget Lunch was established in honor of the 9/11 first responders. An ID or first responder’s uniform is required for free dine-in lunch. LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, a local nonprofit blood supplier, will also be onsite at the Mobile Causeway location for blood donations. A specially designed T-shirt supporting first responders will commend all donors. Blood donations collected at the lunch are distributed to local hospitals. Attractions and organizations including GulfQuest, the USS ALABAMA, Africatown Freedom Tours, OWA Parks & Resort, the City of Daphne and Visit Mobile will be there to pass out discounted tickets and raffle prizes to thank first responders.
