Baldwin County Hoopers to Join ABA

The American Basketball Association (ABA) announced that the Baldwin County Hoopers has been added to the growing list of expansion teams for ABA’s upcoming inaugural season, being held October 2021-March 2022, GulfCoastNewsToday.com reported. The organization was founded by former National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I college football player turned teacher and entrepreneur Marcus T. Washington. Washington owns the Baldwin County Hoopers franchise and is president of My Community Mentor, Inc. Washington is currently seeking sponsors for the upcoming fiscal year. Founded in 1969, the ABA merged into the NBA in 1976.
