Cedar Point Pier Reopens In Coden

Cedar Point Pier in Coden has reopened after a period of construction to enhance accessibility, safety and resiliency. Fishing remains free and does not require a license for Alabama residents. It will be open for fishing 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except Christmas Day. Mobile County’s $1-million improvements project began in March, and some work is yet to be completed. Funding was provided through the Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act (GOMESA) and the American Rescue Plan Act. Construction was performed by Gillis Construction, with engineering and project management by Moffatt & Nichol.
