Coastal Half Marathon, 5K Fun Run Coming To Orange Beach

Registration is open for the Coastal Half Marathon, 5K & 1-Mile Fun Run scheduled for November 29. The 18th annual event, organized by Magic Sports, begins at the Orange Beach Sportsplex and winds through the accessible Gulf State Park Backcountry Trail system. The half marathon will serve as the Road Runners Club of America’s Alabama State Championship. There will also be overall and age-group awards. Packet pickup will be on November 28 at 3-5 p.m. and on race day at 6:30-7:45 a.m. at the Orange Beach Sportsplex, with the half marathon beginning at 8 a.m. The 5K race will start at 8:10 a.m., and the 1-mi. run will start at 8:20 a.m. A post-race celebration will offer food and drinks for participants and their families with live music, inflatables, facepainting and more until noon.
