Cottage Hill Promotes Thomas to Head Coach, Director, Dean

Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile has hired Adam Thomas as its new boys basketball coach, director of athletics and dean of students, AL.com reported. Previously Cottage Hill’s head boys coach beginning in 2010, Thomas left in 2014 for Randolph School in Huntsville, where he was athletic director; went to lead varsity boys basketball coaching at St. Paul’s in Mobile; and returned to Cottage Hill as the assistant director of athletics in January 2021. In the coaching job, he replaces John Price, who is reigning Coastal Alabama Co-Coach of the Year and now head coach at Trinity Christian Academy in Texas. In the other roles, he replaces Chris Brazell, the new head of school (Cottage Hill Names Head Of School). Thomas’ sons, Tyler and Trent, starred on the Warriors’ Class 3A team this season, which played in the final four of the state tournament and attained a school-record 18-game winning streak. They are included in the five starters from that team scheduled to return next year.
