Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo Set For July

The 2021 Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo is returning for 2021 and already garnering high demand, AL.com reports. Rental property on Dauphin Island has already been popular for the annual event. While it was limited last year due to the pandemic, the rodeo is expected to be back to normal on July 10 and July 15-19 this year. July 10 will see the 63rd annual Roy Martin Young Anglers Tournament held at 5 a.m.-5 p.m., followed by an awards ceremony. This event is open to anglers 15 years old and younger. July 15’s events will begin at 6 p.m. with the Capt. T-Bone Liar’s Contest and a performance by Yellowhammer featuring Jake Peavy. Fishing starts at 5 a.m. on July 16, with the weigh station open at 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and a performance by The Molly Ringwalds at 7:30 p.m. The weigh station will be open at 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on July 17 with a performance by Mustache The Band at 5 p.m. The weigh station will be open at 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on July 18 with to-be-announced live entertainment starting at 3 p.m. On July 19, the awards ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. at The Grounds in Mobile.
