Fairhope Breaks Ground On New Nature Park And Trail

Seventy-two acres between Veterans Boulevard and Fly Creek in Fairhope are being restored as a nature park that will feature nature trails, outdoor classrooms for educational opportunities, a trailhead with an informational kiosk, a bicycle repair station, restrooms and parking, FOX10 reports. Flying Creek Nature Preserve, previously known as the Triangle Property, is possible with the help of the Dyas family, which owned this property for more than 40 years. “We have the beautiful bay and the bluffs along the bay. We have a very walkable community, but to be able to have something where you can get lost in nature is really special. I hope that our citizens and people who visit the area will appreciate it as much as I do,” said Fairhope Mayor Sherry Sullivan.
