Fairhope Tennis Team Takes Fifth Place At National Event

FAIRHOPE, Ala. — The City of Fairhope tennis professional Tomas Catar and his daughter, Claudia Catar, recently competed in and won fifth place out of 32 teams at the National Grass Court Father/Daughter Championships at Longwood Cricket Club in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Father/Daughter Championships are sanctioned by the United States Tennis Association, and the Grass Court National Championships is one of only three level-one national championship tournaments held each year. Claudia Catar is a rising Fairhope High School junior, High School Sectional Winner, past Alabama Open Junior Champion and No. 7 in Alabama rankings.
