First Phase Of New Soccer Complex

After an eight-year battle, Mobile finally opened phase one of the new soccer complex on July 23, FOX10 reported. The Halls Mill Road facility brings two new soccer fields and a practice field on line. “We have had for many years a tremendous need, a deficit, in the number of fields that our soccer community needed,” Mobile County Commissioner Connie Hudson said. More should come when the county’s plans to expand it to a total of 10 tournament-quality fields, including a championship field with bleachers, and concession and restroom buildings come to fruition.
