Foley Opens New Park

Foley recently held a ribbon cutting for its newest park, located at 300 West Laurel Avenue. Pine Street Park is adjacent to Foley’s Historic Downtown and Foley Middle School. The city park is located on property leased from the Baldwin County Board of Education. Its theme is music, and it is home to an amphitheater that will accommodate approximately 100 people and permanent, child-friendly musical instruments located beside a handicapped-accessible stage. The musical instruments were purchased with an AARP Community Grant received by Foley Main Street. The park came about thanks to the cooperation of several entities that include the City of Foley Municipal Government, the Baldwin County Board of Education and Foley Main Street. The park is open to the public from dawn to dusk.
