Ground Broken On Bayfront Park Amphitheater

The City of Daphne has broken ground on the latest and most anticipated expansion of Bayfront Park, FOX10 News reported. The 2,500-seat amphitheater on the 15-acre park will be the first of its kind on the Alabama coast. Mayor Robin LeJeune says the park will attract thousands of new visitors. A Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act grant will cover a little more than half of the project’s $13.5 million price tag. The city is paying for the rest. Bayfront Park Drive will be closed through April 2027 during construction. In the meantime, visitors may still access the boardwalks and piers from Village Pointe Park Preserve on Main Street.
