Gulf Coast Challenge Set For October

The 2026 Gulf Coast Challenge, powered by the Mobile Sports Authority, is scheduled for October 1-3. This high-energy tradition has become known as the ultimate Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) experience and will feature Jackson State University vs. Alabama A&M University on October 3 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Attendees may enjoy a college and career fair, a team luncheon, a presidential luncheon with community and education leaders and nightly concerts at Ladd-Peebles Stadium featuring nationally recognized artists and dynamic performances. “This marks the ninth Gulf Coast Challenge Powered by the Mobile Sports Authority and our 11th HBCU game since bringing HBCU football back to Mobile in 2016,” said Danny Corte, executive director of the Mobile Sports Authority.
