Jags Set To Hire Running Backs Coach

MOBILE, Ala. — The University of South Alabama (USA) Jaguars are set to hire Antonio Bradford as running backs coach, barring any last-minute setbacks, AL.com reports. Bradford spent last season as tight ends coach at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. Prior to that, he worked with both Tennessee State University in Nashville and Alabama State University (ASU), his alma mater, in Montgomery. Bradford started three seasons at guard at ASU in the early 2000s. Here, he was a teammate of current USA defensive line coach Landius Wilkerson. Bradford is to replace Earnest Hill, who left the Jaguars after one season for a job at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. A Tennessee native, Bradford spent 10 seasons on the coaching staff at ASU, rising to associate head coach. He then served as tight ends and tackles coach, as well as run game coordinator, at Tennessee State. Bradford could join USA for spring practice as soon as this week, according to the report.
