Lime E-Scooters Launch In Mobile

Lime, a global provider of shared electric vehicles, has launched a fleet of e-scooters in Mobile. Lime has been working with the City of Mobile, and its fleet will scale to up to 300 of Lime’s popular Okai e-scooters. In 2022, Lime became the first micro-mobility company to post a full profitable year. Lime had $466 million in gross bookings in 2022, a 33% increase from 2021, and hit Adjusted EBITDA of $15 million. Lime was also profitable on an unadjusted EBITDA basis. Lime provides shared e-bikes and e-scooters in more than 250 cities in nearly 30 countries as it continues its mission to decarbonize transportation globally and is looking to grow its presence in Alabama. “We’ve worked hard to create a partnership that will benefit the City of Mobile, our citizens, visitors and Lime. We look forward to working with their team to make sure these e-scooters can benefit our citizens, businesses and stakeholders for years to come,” said Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson.
