Local Track Teams Named State Champions

Recently, the City of Mobile administration and members of the Mobile City Council recognized the Mobile Parks and Recreation Department’s track and field teams. Both the boys and girls teams were recently named 2021 Alabama Recreation and Parks Association (ARPA) State Champions, according to Mayor Sandy Stimpson. In addition to the team’s accolades, Aaliyah Carter was named the girls MVP, and Kevin Gaines set multiple ARPA records for his performance at the championship.
