Mobile Cuts Ribbon On Seventh Splash Pad

The City of Mobile held a ribbon cutting for its newest public splash pad at Baumhauer-Randle Park on June 17. Mobile City Council President C.J. Small joined community members and other representatives from the City of Mobile. Thanks to a $363,000-project funded through the City of Mobile’s Capital Improvement Program, the wading pool at Baumhauer-Randle Park has been converted into the city’s seventh splash pad. In addition to the new splash pad, which has a unique baseball theme, the project included drainage improvements in the area, new benches and a shade covering. Contractor John Kilpatrick has led the project with support from Struthers Recreation and Aeiker Construction Co.
