Mobile Names Parks And Rec Lead

Kim Carmody has joined the City of Mobile as the senior director of parks and recreation. After an extensive national search for candidates, Carmody was tapped to lead the department and oversee both employees and volunteers who make hundreds of community events, programs and activities possible every year. Carmody joins Mobile from the City of Pensacola, where she served in several capacities. She has more than 30 years of experience in administrative leadership, capital improvement, budget management, staff development, special event management and marketing, with a focus on parks and recreation. She has served public and private entities across the country.
