MPRD To Host Wide Variety Of Black History Month Events

MOBILE, Ala. — February is Black History Month, and the Mobile Parks and Recreation Department (MPRD) is going to be celebrating and educating all month long, according to Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson. There will be film screenings with panel discussions led by Dr. Raoul Richardson every Wednesday at the James Seals Community Center, and MPRD’s social media pages will be sharing Black history facts each day. There will also be special Black history themes at MPRD’s LODA ArtWalk and Saturdays and Coup monthly events.
