Municipal Park Team Headed To World Series

MOBILE, Ala. — Earlier this month, a team of 10-year-olds from Municipal Park represented the City of Mobile at the Dixie Youth Baseball State Tournament in Troy. The team was on a roll and was undefeated going into the championship game. In a matchup that lasted nearly three hours, the team came from behind to defeat Enterprise, and the players were crowned Alabama Dixie Youth Baseball AAA state champions. Their final challenge of the season is at the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series in Lumberton, North Carolina, on August 6.
