Nature Hike Down Backcountry Trail

 The Annual First Day Hike 2025 – Nature Reconnect will be held at the Orange Beach Sportsplex on January 1 at 9 a.m. to help residents start 2025 with a meaningful resolution to reconnect with nature. The naturalist-led guided hike will start at the Orange Beach Sportsplex, continuing down the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail across the Twin Bridges and ending at the Butterfly Garden. This paved 2-mi. round-trip hike is open to those of all ages. At the Butterfly Garden, which has a screened-in picnic area, children may enjoy climbing boulders.
