New Carnival Sensation Date Set

Carnival Cruise Lines recently announced that the Carnival Sensation will be back in Mobile for cruising on March 5, 2022, nearly two years after sailings were halted due to the pandemic, AL.com reported. Bringing back the cruise ship was an important goal on Mayor Sandy Stimpson’s 100 Day Plan (BBN #67). Cruising represents $6 million in annual gross revenue for the City of Mobile from wharfage and parking alone. The cruise industry is also a critical economic driver for the city’s hotels, restaurants and suppliers.
