Point Clear Polo Club Launches Polo School

The Point Clear Polo Club has announced the launch of the Point Clear Polo School with the goal of increasing local awareness and interest in the sport, while making Fairhope a polo destination for Mobile and Baldwin counties, Pensacola and surrounding areas, Let’s Go! Fairhope reports. The lessons are currently for adults and run until May 31 with 1-hour lessons available three days a week; a second round of courses is planned for September to November. Price depends on the number of lessons per week; private lessons are also available upon request. The lessons are held at the polo grounds in Silverhill; there are also fields in Fairhope and Point Clear for games. Free club games are held on Fridays and Saturdays. The main games are held on Sundays at 3 p.m. each weekend starting in April. The Point Clear Polo Club has been around since 1970 and is one of the oldest clubs in the U.S.
