Rideyellow To Be Held This Weekend

Infirmary Health will host the 15th RIDEYELLOW on September 16. RIDEYELLOW begins at Halliday Park in Bay Minette with a 6-mile tribute ride. Individuals may choose to participate in only the tribute ride or continue by pedaling the 20-, 37- or 62-mile route at their leisure. Rest stops are available along the way, and food, beverages and vendor booths are available for riders returning to the park. Riders can register for any ride until 7 a.m. RIDEYELLOW was founded in 2007 by Ann White-Spunner and Mary Trufant to raise cancer awareness and to draft grassroots support for their mission of inspiring and empowering people affected by cancer. Since the 2007 inaugural ride, RIDEYELLOW has steadily grown and raised more money for cancer charities each year. Last year, RIDEYELLOW donated $10,000 to Rapahope, a local nonprofit organization that offers free, year-round recreational and support programs to those with childhood cancer and their families.
