Rivers Meets With Team At St. Michael Catholic

Former NFL quarterback Philip Rivers met with his high school football team at St. Michael Catholic High School in Fairhope recently. According to AL.com, this was his first meeting with the team after being announced as coach-in-waiting last May. Rivers announced his retirement from the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month and will take the reins full-time at St. Michael this spring. The school is hoping to have Rivers on-campus full-time by April 1. Rivers spent his first 16 years in San Diego before quarterbacking the Colts to the playoffs this fall. An eight-time Pro Bowl selection, Rivers completed 5,277 of 8,134 passes for 63,440 yards with 421 touchdowns and 209 interceptions in 244 regular-season games.
