Robotics, VR Amusement Park Opens In Eastern Shore Center

SPANISH FORT, Ala. — VRium Robotics & VR Amusement Park is holding its grand opening today through July 10 at its 9,000-ft2 premises at 30500 Highway 181, Unit 300 in Spanish Fort. Created with the idea behind how technology, science, robotics, entertainment and culture work together, its goal is to create fun and immersive experiences. “Dynamic extreme VR” and mixed reality combine entertainment and education, and VR military shooting, space flying and racing are among the 12 VR simulator rides/experiences that immerse players with a first-person, 360° panoramic view. Augmented reality (AR) visual projection technology creates an interactive experience keyed to body movement, and Pepper, a humanoid robot, holds conversations; sings; and gives tours, hugs, kisses, high fives and fist bumps. The park also has a concessions café that serves a variety of drinks, sweet treats and snacks. The parent company of the park is Electrosa Group, an Ontario-based corporation established in 2006. Franchise opportunities are available.
