Rock Steady Boxing Celebrates Five Years

GULF SHORES, Ala. — Rock Steady Boxing celebrated its fifth anniversary in Gulf Shores this week with an open house celebration event. Local founder Chris Wheeles touted the health benefits of the noncontact exercise program for people with Parkinson’s disease, giving visitors an opportunity to observe a sampling of the various exercises, stretches, balances and other techniques. The Rock Steady Boxing method is designed to improve the mobility and strength of people with Parkinson’s disease and is available for all ages and levels of ability.
