Savannah Bananas Coming to Mobile

The City of Mobile and Mobile Sports & Entertainment Group has announced that Mobile won the “Top Banana” to host the Savannah Bananas’ One City World Tour, which will come to Hank Aaron Stadium on March 26, 2021. The baseball group bills itself as bringing the “world’s fastest and most outrageous game of baseball” from its home in Savannah, Georgia. A video reveals how the city won out of more than 300 cities and 15 countries nominated. “Our community has so many ties to baseball history, and we are truly excited about the opportunity to bring this unique and wildly entertaining take on America’s oldest pastime to Hank Aaron Stadium,” Mayor Sandy Stimpson said, likening the team to a baseball version of the Harlem Globetrotters.
