Spanish Fort Breaks Ground On Valor Park Project

The City of Spanish Fort recently broke ground on the Valor Park project, intended to not only stabilize the shoreline, but will also provide visitors with a new, modern location to view the natural scenery and wildlife. The 2-acre park is to include sidewalks, picnic tables, a large pavilion and a viewing area overlooking Mobile Bay, with the USS ALABAMA in the skyline. The project is part of the city’s long-term, multiphase plan to expand the city’s parks and recreational areas using Gulf of Mexico Energy Security Act monies and ongoing business expansion.
