Spring Hill College Announces Redman As Men’s Basketball Coach

Spring Hill College has named John Redman as head coach of its men’s basketball program. A 2013 alumnus, Redman began his coaching career as a student assistant, serving three seasons on the Badgers’ bench. He has since built more than 13 years of experience coaching at the NJCAA, NCAA and NAIA levels. Redman most recently served as the head coach at Northwest Mississippi Community College during the 2025-2026 season, leading the Rangers to an 18-12 record, a 12-game improvement and a spot in the NJCAA Region 23 Tournament. Prior to that, he spent seven seasons at Delta State University from 2018 to 2025, including time as associate head coach, while earning his master’s degree in sport and human performance. During his tenure, Redman guided the Statesmen to multiple winning seasons, including a Gulf South Conference championship, an NCAA Division II Tournament appearance in 2019 and a Gulf South Conference Tournament final four appearance in 2025. Following his time as a student assistant at Spring Hill, Redman helped launch the Dalton State men’s basketball program ahead of the 2013-14 season, leading the team to a 26-4 record in its inaugural year. The program went on to win the Southern States Athletic Conference regular-season championship and the 2015 NAIA national championship.
