MOBILE, Ala. — The UMS-Wright Bulldogs baseball team got a win in the first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association 5A State Tournament, defeating Sylacauga High School. Today, the Bulldogs will travel to Andalusia for the second round. If necessary, the tiebreaker game will be tomorrow at 3 p.m. Also, the girls’ and boys’ track team won the Gulf Shores Battle of the Beaches Meet and will participate in the Sectional State Qualifying meet this weekend at the University of South Alabama. The girls’ and boys’ soccer teams also begin playoffs this week. Additionally, the boys’ and girls’ golf teams will compete in the Sub-State Tournament next week at the Country Club of Mobile.
