UMS-Wright Sweeps 5A State Championships

The UMS-Wright Preparatory School’s track teams clinched both the Girls’ and Boys’ 5A state championships in Outdoor Track and Field, the school announced. During the season, the Bulldogs won every regular season meet they entered, culminating in this win at the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Class 4A-7A state track and field championships at the Gulf Shores Sports Complex. The event saw Hall of Fame Coach Pat Galle win his 68th and 69th state championships. Out of 18 total events for each team, UMS-Wright won 28 medals and earned points in 27 of the 36 events.
