Walk With A Doc Launched At USA

A local chapter of Walk with a Doc, a walking and educational program that aims to inspire communities through movement and conversation, is being led by gastrointestinal surgeon Dr. Richard R. Rieske to support patients at USA Health. Rieske is collaborating with leaders from the USA Health departments of pediatrics and family medicine and the College of Health, Kinesiology and Sport at the University of South Alabama (USA). Walk with a Doc will be held on Saturdays at 8:30 a.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins with a short discussion about a current health topic, followed by a healthy walk. Participants will have a chance to ask questions of the healthcare providers leading the events. Walks are scheduled for February 15 at the USA Student Recreation Center and March 8, April 5 and May 3 at the USA JagFit Trail.
