Baldwin County Recycling Center To Open Next Year

A new recycling center for Daphne residents to again participate in curbside recycling is planned for McBride Road in Foley, WKRG reports. Mayor Robin Lejuene said that since the price to rebuild the old facility that burned in 2019 would have been $3 million, it partnered with Baldwin County on a plan to build a joint center. “We are just waiting on the county to finish the facility design and construction, and then we will be able to start back with our curbside recycling,” Lejuene said. The center will be near the current landfill and should be open by summer 2024.
