Daphne Utilities Grant Cycle Closes Soon

Daphne Utilities has announced that submissions for its grant cycle for education mini-grants are due on October 9. The company is offering grants of $1,000 to public schools and public school educators in its service area who are committed to conserving natural resources and engaging students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics; conservation; or educational activities related to the utility service. Open to elementary, middle and high school employees in the service area, it requires that projects have support of school administration leadership and satisfy supplementing classroom instruction relating to water management, sustainability, conservation or use; support schools in their efforts to “go green”; and/or support students as they pursue educational opportunities in service-related areas. Projects must be executed and completed by the end of the current school year.
