Loxley Utilities Department Earns Statewide Awards

The City of Loxley Utilities Department was recently recognized for its work in water and wastewater operations, earning two awards at the Alabama Water and Pollution Control Association’s Awards Ceremony. Loxley’s drinking water treatment plants received the Best Operated Plant Award, taking first place in the “Ground Water, 5,000 to 15,000 Population category.” The department says the award recognizes its commitment to maintaining high standards in the operation and management of the city’s drinking water facilities. The department also received the Award of Excellence, earning second place for the city’s wastewater treatment plant in the “Activated Sludge, 0 to 2 MGD” category.
