MAWSS Opens Second Water Academy Of The Year

The Mobile Area Water & Sewer System (MAWSS) has announced the third iteration of its Citizens Water Academy program as part of its “Keep Water Working” campaign. This free program has been annual until this iteration, which is the second in 2024. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes experience as to how MAWSS uses its resources to provide water and sewer services; gain insight into infrastructure updates and proactive initiatives driving economic prosperity; and discuss the costs associated with water and wastewater services, common issues, their causes and effective resolutions. The no-cost program will be held at the MAWSS main office at 4725 Moffett Road in Mobile on October 17 and 18 at 8 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. Food and beverages are available during each session. Those signing up commit to both sessions. The deadline to apply is October 10.
