Recycling Expansion Topic Of Mobile County Study

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced that the city will be working with SCS Engineering of Mobile over the next few months on a feasibility study exploring ways to expand recycling services across Mobile County. Funded through a grant from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, the study will collect data related to recycling throughout the county. “SCS Engineering’s work here will help local officials learn more about existing services in the region and what it would take to bring in private investment to support expanded recycling services,” Stimpson said. “It will also give us valuable insight into what additional services would cost and whether working with neighboring communities and private partners could create economies of scale to reduce that cost.”
