Stormwater/Sewage Infrastructure Gets Cash Infusion

It could help offset pandemic-response expenses, which Mayor Sandy Stimpson said exceed $9 million including purchasing and distributing testing kits and personal protective equipment, expanding the role of law enforcement and supporting vaccination sites including at the Mobile Civic Center. Casi Callaway, executive director of Mobile Baykeeper, commented, “While Mobile did fine, and other cities around [Mobile] Bay did fine and survived COVID financially, there is never enough money for stormwater and sewage infrastructure.
