WiFi Now Available In Downtown Mobile Parks
The City of Mobile IT department recently finished installing new, upgraded service lines that provide free public WiFi in Bienville Square and Cathedral Square, according to Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson. After damage sustained during Hurricane Sally, teams began replacing aerial fiber service lines—which can be impacted by things like squirrels and tree limbs—with underground lines that are much more resilient and reliable, Stimpson explained. The network is named “City Public Wifi.”
