Zimlich Joins Village Animal Clinic

Village Animal Clinic, a veterinary practice on Cottage Hill Road in Mobile, recently announced the addition of Dr. Michael Zimlich. Zimlich was born and raised in Mobile and is a graduate of Murphy High School. He completed his undergraduate degree in marine science at Troy State University in 1998, where he completed graduate level research in parasitology. Upon completing his doctorate of veterinary medicine at Auburn University in 2002, he moved back to the Gulf Coast. Zimlich is a certified U.S. Department of Agriculture veterinarian and worked in a mixed animal practice, where his focus was on large animal work, before transitioning to small animal work. During this time, he concentrated his focus on feline medicine and dentistry, as well as pain management. He also worked with Pfizer/Zoetis to instruct fellow veterinarians in new medicines in pain management for their practice.
