Innovation Portal Announces Fund

Mobile-based Innovation Portal has opened the second iteration of the Portal Fund, which aids pre-seed investments of founders based in South Alabama and the central Gulf Coast. It is designed to accelerate the area’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and attract, retain and support high-growth ventures in the region by providing startup founders with seed capital and access to Innovation Portal programming, milestone-based mentoring and workspace. It is open until July 15. Last year’s winners were Mobile-based Deuce Drone and Barkd (Innovation Portal Awards Mobile Businesses).
