North Baldwin Infirmary Recognized Nationally For Safety

North Baldwin Infirmary was awarded an “A” in the spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade, a national distinction recognizing the infirmary’s achievements for protecting patients from harm and providing safer healthcare. This is the sixth consecutive “A” earned by the hospital, following those received for fall 2018, spring and fall 2019, and spring and fall 2020. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization for healthcare quality and safety. Its Safety Grade uses up to 27 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign letter grades to all general hospitals across the country and is updated every six months. It is based on a hospital’s performance in preventing medical errors, injuries, accidents, infections and other harms to patients in their care.
